This is the whole of it. Anything not on this list, decades does not have.
About you
- Your email address, from signing in with Google. It is the only thing the sign-in returns and it is where the finds go.
- Your hunts: the words you typed, the decades you ticked, and the optional price ceiling and shop country.
About the hunt
- One watermark per hunt: the creation time of the newest listing already reported. Not a list of what was sent — a single number, which is all that is needed because a listing can only be new once.
- Two passes of cost: how many listings the last pass read and kept, and the same pair for the pass before it. Two, never a series.
About the listings
- The finds as last shown — id, title, link, shop, price, era, and when the listing first appeared. Up to twenty-four per hunt.
Replaced wholesale on every pass. This is a shop window, not a ledger: there is no record of what was ever for sale, no price history, and no way to reconstruct one. That is Etsy's API caching terms and also just what the product is — you want what is there now.
Deliberately absent
- No Etsy account connection. decades never asks you to authorise it against Etsy, holds no token, and can see nothing that is not on a public listing page.
- No sellers' details. A shop name, which is on the listing anyway. Nothing else.
- No history of anything. Not what you searched before, not what you clicked, not what a listing used to cost.
- No analytics, no third-party scripts, no advertising, no tracking cookies. The site serves no JavaScript at all — there is nothing here that could follow you.
Cookies
One, holding a signed session id so the site knows the hunts are yours.
HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, Secure. Signing out deletes it.
Who else sees it
Google, at the moment you sign in, because you chose to sign in with them. The provider that carries an email. Cloudflare, which runs the site and the database. Nobody else. Nothing is sold or shared, and there are no advertisers to share it with.
Erasing it
Account → Close and erase. One transaction: address, hunts, finds, watermarks. Immediate, no confirmation email, no waiting period, no retained copy. Or write to support@thirds.uk and it will be done for you.
